At this point, yes, I would like to deprecate our bind 9.7 support.
Configuring dynamic DNS with this version is the stuff of nightmares -
very few manage to get it correct, and it just confuses our
documentation and makes our users think there is a chance it could work
for them.

We now provide an upgrade script to our database-based backends, and our
internal DNS server handles just as much as 9.7 did for most users: that
is a static zone or insecure updates. 

We could continue to output a template zone file if need be, but I think
we should leave it as 'for manual installation in your own static dns
server'.
