samba 3.5.6 on debian 6.0.3 : netlogon credentials check failed

I changed the netbios name of the client (and also the machine account on the
server), and now everything's ok.
Maybe it didn't work because the client's netbios name was this of the
previous installation.
I would like to understand.
If you have any idea.
