I've pushed three patches to my work in progress git tree on
git.samba.org that at least set up the SOA record for the zone. I'm
working on the remaining A, AAAA, CNAME and SRV records now, see
http://gitweb.samba.org/?p=kai/samba.git;a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/provision_dns_minimal
for the patches in the meantime
