WinXP cannot join Samba 3.6 DC with an odd-length hostname

Karolin,

I've filed another blocker for Samba 3.6 (sorry!).  I found during
testing that Samba 3.6 cannot be joined by a WinXP client if the
hostname of the server is odd length.
