Also, there was a lock file left at .git/index.lock when I did the rsync (maybe the tree was being updated on the server?) so I had to remove it before "git pull" worked. Before running git fetch, git fsck --full ran without complaint. --=20 Michael Wood <esiotrot at gmail.com>
