Hello everyone!

Please do help me with this problem, because I'm several weeks trying to
make the CTDB and I can not run, and depending on that work to
accomplish my thesis.
CTDB trouble configuring Debian 5.0 with samba 3.4.8.

Error 1: When attempting to start the /etc/init.d/ctdb start:
* Starting Clustered TDB ctdb failed!

/etc/init.d/ctdb status
* Checking status of Clustered TDB ctdb not running

Error 2: When you start Samba with /etc/init.d/ samba start:
* Starting Samba daemons: nmdb failed!

When requesting the status of samba:
# Smbstatus
Rertorna.
connect (/tmp/ctdb.socket) failed: File or directory not found.
* Messaging_ctdb_init failed: NT_STATUS_OBJECT_NAME_NOT_FOUND
messaging_init failed.

Then the log daemon nmdb this way:
[9/15/2010 11:28:45, 1] lib / messages.c: 215 (messagin_init)
messaging_ctdb_init failed: NT_STATUS_OBJECT_NAME_NOT_FOUND
[9/15/2010 11:28:45, 0] nmbd/nmbd.c: 60 (nmbd_messaging_context) Could
not init nmbd messaging context.

As I understand it is not finding the file / tmp / ctdb.socket.
So I created the file with
# Mkdir / tmp / ctdb.socket and applied permission chmod 777. When
trying to start the services ctdb and samba, it returned the same error
messages. The difference is that when checking
smbstatus it returns:
messaging_ctdb_init failed: NT_STATUUS_CONNECTION_REFUSED messaging_init
failed.
=================================
Thus my question is where the file ctdb.socket so I can change the
configuration file CTDB_SOCKET=tmp/ctdb.socket

>From the little I know, it is a socket then that would be created a
shortcut inside tmp/ctdb.socket. But I do not know where this shortcut
would point to.
Because I can not find ctdb.socket
and the command # locate ctdb.socket not found.

Thanks for any help
