No worries - particularly as we don't cover either the LDAP backend or
replication with tests very well, it is difficult to understand the
subtle breakage here without a much deeper background than even you have
in the sam.ldb module stack.  

I don't enjoy to ask for reverts - I know personally how it feels to be
told to revert ones work committed in good faith, but I hope you
understand the reasons.
