license of libnss_winbind.so?

Hi,
Can some one please comment on license of library "libnss_winbind.so"?
The source files this is built from, seem to be under LGPL. These
source files are present in "nsswitch" and "lib/replace" directories.
I wish to link this library in my program to send "NTLM
authentication" messages to WINBINDD. I need to confirm if this is
valid before proceeding further. BTW, I'm using samba-3.4.4
