wide links and root preexec

Hi all,

I have a problem with 'wide links  = no'. The Parameter 'wide links' is default
yes. In  our [homes] configuration we  have defined 'root preexec'  script. The
script creates a home directory if this  not exits. All works fine. But when we
configure 'wide  links = no' home  directories aren't create anymore.  The path
of  the  home  dirs is  /storage/samba/home  and  the  path  of the  script  is
/etc/samba/scripts/mkhome.sh.

What is here the problem. I read the manual of smb.conf but I found nothing.
