Can you tell what user the .17 is using? It's hard to stop the traffic but I can try and run it again.

I'm at this again. Here is output comparing two servers, .17 & .6. .17 reads from the shared folder correctly and .6 does not. Can you see anything in these?
There's all kinds of irrelevant traffic in these, so I don't know specifically what works and what doesn't. The only think I see failing in .6 is creating the session with user 'anonymous' and failing to connect to \\10.50.5.6\SCIPDF for access denied. I'd guess that it requires a username and password for access.

673 5.458991 10.50.5.6 10.5.192.101 SMB Session Setup AndX Response
674 5.459024 10.5.192.101 10.50.5.6 SMB Tree Connect AndX Request, Path: \\10.50.5.6\SCIPDF
675 5.459213 10.50.5.6 10.5.192.101 SMB Tree Connect AndX Response, Error: STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED

I couldn't find 10.50.5.6 anyplace in .17 to compare, though.

If this isn't the issue you're trying to describe, please give me sufficient detail to filter all of the irrelevant traffic out of the two packet dumps so that I can see the specific issues giving you problems.

Cheers,

Derrell
