This really isn't correct, and changes to command line options should be
put past the mailing list.  While some of this code may appear to be
haphazard, there was also reason behind it.  In this case,
system_session() applies locally, but is ignored when we talk over ldap,
using the supplied command line username/password.

In particular, I would like these scripts to continue to support -H. 

Perhaps you could revert your recent changes until we get a chance to
look them over carefully?
