samba problems

Hello all,

i have two problems here;

1. my smbd daemon keeps on dying even after a fresh install.

2. Whenever i try to connect to my samba server which is a centos linux
server, i get this message: cannot contact your windows share from linux
machines. NOTE: the samba server is not available from a windows machine.
