Hi

I am running 3.3.7 on Centos-4 and Centos-5 (both x86_64) and I observe
a continuous growing memory usage of winbind, so that I have to restart
winbind every few weeks

[root at rmcs31 ~]# psgrep winbind
root 10654 0.0 0.1 303984 4632 ? Ss Aug26 1:29 winbindd
root 10655 0.0 0.3 356824 12628 ? S Aug26 0:57 winbindd
root 10669 0.0 23.0 2827472 931052 ? S Aug26 14:51 winbindd
root 10670 0.0 0.0 302884 752 ? S Aug26 0:00 winbindd
root 10751 0.0 0.0 302896 364 ? S Aug26 0:00 winbindd
root 10769 0.0 0.0 304888 636 ? S Aug26 0:00 winbindd

and one week later

[root at rmcs31 ~]# psgrep winbind
root 10654 0.0 0.1 303984 4472 ? Ss Aug26 2:26 winbindd
root 10655 0.0 0.4 356824 17128 ? S Aug26 1:39 winbindd
root 10669 0.0 19.0 4519120 770336 ? S Aug26 24:39 winbindd
root 10670 0.0 0.0 302884 748 ? S Aug26 0:01 winbindd
root 10751 0.0 0.0 302896 364 ? S Aug26 0:00 winbindd
root 10769 0.0 0.0 304888 636 ? S Aug26 0:00 winbindd

The samba Servers are member of an Active-directory Domain
        security = ADS
        idmap backend = nss
idmap config YYY : backend = nss
idmap config YYY : readonly = yes

The unix systems are integreted into AD with Vintella Authentication
Services from quest.
Winbind is only used for mapping AD-Users to Unix-Users.

Is this a hint for a memory leak in winbind and (how) can I provide some
debug/trace information?

Regards

Hansjörg
