Hi guys

I'm observing something odd (yet harmless) when editing the global options via SWAT in Samba 3.3.4.
This is my smb.conf prior to any change in SWAT.

#
# cat /usr/samba/lib/smb.conf
# Samba config file created using SWAT
# from UNKNOWN (10.226.4.51)
# Date: 2009/05/15 21:06:28

[global]
        workgroup = DOSIM000
        realm = SIDMAR.BE
        server string = AIX Samba %v
        security = ADS
        guest account = guest
        ntlm auth = No
        syslog = 3
        syslog only = Yes
        log file = /var/adm/syslog.out
        ldap ssl = no
        idmap uid = 1000-2000
        idmap gid = 1000-2000
        winbind separator = +

[DFSROOT]
        path = /GPFS/samba/dfsroot
        msdfs root = Yes

[SIDSMIG]
        path = /GPFS/home/users/SIDSMIG
        valid users = DOSIM000+SIDSMIG
        force user = SIDSMIG
        force group = staff
        read only = No
        create mask = 0700
        force create mode = 0700
        directory mask = 0700
        force directory mode = 0700

[TMP]
        path = /tmp
        read only = No

After hitting "Commit Changes" in the globals section (even without altering any values) the smb.conf now looks like

# cat /usr/samba/lib/smb.conf
# Samba config file created using SWAT
# from UNKNOWN (10.226.4.51)
# Date: 2009/05/15 21:09:28

[global]
        workgroup = DOSIM000
        realm = SIDMAR.BE
        server string = AIX Samba %v
        security = ADS
        guest account = guest
        ntlm auth = No
        syslog = 3
        syslog only = Yes
        log file = /var/adm/syslog.out
        ldap ssl = no
        idmap uid = 1000-2000
        idmap gid = 1000-2000
        winbind separator = +

[DFSROOT]
        path = /GPFS/samba/dfsroot
        msdfs root = Yes

[SIDSMIG]
        path = /GPFS/home/users/SIDSMIG
        valid users = DOSIM000+SIDSMIG
        force user = SIDSMIG
        force group = staff
        read only = No
        create mask = 0700
        force create mode = 0700
        directory mask = 0700
        force directory mode = 0700

[TMP]
        path = /tmp
        read only = No
[DFSROOT]
        path = /GPFS/samba/dfsroot
        msdfs root = Yes

The DFSROOT stanza is duplicated…
What about that?

Met vriendelijke groet
Best regards
Bien à vous
