I am a bit unclear in what circumstances nesting transactions (as
implemented) is useful ?
I see only problems in nesting transactions where one nested transaction
down the path can fail and undo totally unrelated commits ...
(although maybe I've read the code wrong and we actually have a way to
undo only the specific nested transaction that failed ?)
