I believe this was finally fixed, at least in the source repository:

http://bugs.opensolaris.org/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=4088757

It should be available in the next couple weeks in build 129 of
OpenSolaris and SXCE, but I'm not sure if it will be back-ported to
Solaris 10.
