sorry, but this doesnt seem to work.
maybe i got the wrong url first (using .../abartlet/samba.git  instead
of .../abartlet/samba.org)
but when i try to clone the second one (.../samba.ORG), this happens
immediately:

"git clone git://git.samba.org/abartlet/samba.org openldap-backend
Initialize openldap-backend/.git
Initialized empty Git repository in /root/openldap-backend/.git/
fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly"

on the other side,
"git clone git://git.samba.org/abartlet/samba.git openldap-backend"
works, but when i checkout, in only get this error.
"error: pathspec 'openldap-backend' did not match any file(s) known to git."
no matter from what path im doing it.

any chance a stupid git-dummie like me can do a simple pull via rsync?
ill try again in a few hours, i have to catch up some sleep.
