I'm happy we're migrating the persistent tdb's to transactions,
but the msync here is still "just wrong" (tm :-) in terms of
how the API works. I was initially wrong in my assessment (note
to self, don't take POSIX too seriously :-), it doesn't fix
anything and still needs to go IMHO.
