You will probably only get help here if you use a recent
version of Samba. Tomorrow 3.2.0 will be released, or you
could use the v3-0-test branch that will be released as
3.0.31.

So once 3.2.0 works for you your best chance would be to do
comparative sniffs of working and non-working versions and
figure out the code pieces that make 3.0.14a break by
comparing the first packet that significantly differs.
