There's a slapo-memberof(5) overlay in 2.4 that maintains cross links (a
la memberOf) for usual update operations.  It lacks some consistency
check (like creating missing links if the overlay is switched on on an
already existing database) and probably doesn't handle subtree renames
(need to check).
