Patches for 3.0.27a?

I need some additional help on reviewing the diff between
the v3-0-test branch and the release-3-0-27 tree.

Assuming you cloned from git.samba.org:

  $ git-diff-tree -p release-3-0-27..origin/v3-0-test | less

Some of the changes to examples, .gitignore, etc... are just
noise.

The question is should 3.0.27a be a true bug fix release
and take all the fixes from v3-0-test or the minimal amount
necessary to fix the regression wrt to smbfs in 3.0.27?

Please spend a few minutes reviewing the diff and provide
feedback.  Thanks.
