No:

deveis # testparm -sv 2> /dev/null | grep msdfs
         host msdfs = Yes
         msdfs root = No
         msdfs proxy =

Rebooting...

Ok, my fault:
I tested 3.0.24-gc without setting 'msdfs root = no' in global because I
had scripts for generating smb.conf on the machine, which were for
3.0.25 where the default is 'msdfs root = no'.

Sorry for the noise.

Is the reboot always necessary if switching between 2 configurations with

configuration 1:
'msdfs root = yes' in a normal share definition

and

configuration 2:
no normal share definition with 'msdfs root = yes'

?

Thank you.
