Simo,

The idmap changes are not backwards compatible with a
simple config like:

ldap admin dn = "cn=smbadmin,ou=people,dc=plainjoe,dc=org"
ldap suffix = dc=plainjoe,dc=org
ldap idmap suffix = ou=idmap
idmap backend = ldap:ldap://ldap.plainjoe.org/
idmap uid = 60000-120000
idmap gid = 60000-120000

There are two isssues. (a) the idmap_init parsing for
the compat backends does separate the backend from the
parameters (i've fixed this locally), and (b) the
idmap_ldap_db_init() is looking for the new config options
and therefore fails to initialize.

I hate to say it but upgrades were obviously not tested
in this case. I'm working on a fix now.

cheers, jerry
