Info & possible fix for Bugzilla 4188

Hi,

I've posted some information and a patch for Bug #4188.  This bug 
relates to failure to delete directories using Windows Explorer from a 
Windows Vista client under certain circumstances.

The problem had been easy to reproduce and with the patch in place 
deleting directories seems to be working correctly.  It's still work in 
progress but I was hoping that someone might find this patch useful or 
provide some sanity checking on this approach.  Details in the bug
