Samba 3.2 will be licensed under GPLv3+. I'm not a license
lawyer, but what I hopefully understood correctly is that
GPLv3 is not compatible with GPLv2 in the sense that you can
take GPLv3 code and incorporate it into GPLv2 code. The
exception would be that the author of the patch explicitly
publishes her/his patches under GPLv2+ which is by default
not the case for code going into 3.2.

But again: I'm not a license lawyer, so I might be wrong.
