you are right. This is my second bug (deep link) ... but not he first one (trailing backslash).
 
Looking at Jeremy Allison's patch, I wonder what Samba does if the DFS search later on doesn't find anything.
Is it correct to return NT_STATUS_OK at the end of the function if the file would be local but doesn't exist?
 
(that's why we kept the return code until the end)
