It was closed because smbfs isn't our code, and is unmaintained
in the kernel. Do you know what unmaintained means ? No one knows
how to fix bugs in that client ? This isn't a Samba server issue,
it's a problem with the client.

There are no known bugs in directory listing with smbclient
against Samba. If you think you've found one in 3.0.23c, please
log a bug.
