[Samba] smb.conf ignores "ldap user suffix"

What I described and what I would like the lists' opinion on
was a proposal for a future release. I did not try to go
into detail where we might be wrong.

So, if I was to change our behaviour to only use the suffix
parameters on object creation and not on search, would this
cause functional problems to anybody? I think this is more
easy to explain than what we have now.
