wow, thats a small limit.

Have you write tracing this, just to make sure there isn't a bug?

I'm very glad you've found this btw. I was considering using unix
datagram sockets for some other things (including messaging to the
dispatcher daemon in CTDB) and now I might use stream sockets instead,
despite the overhead of handling the packet boundaries.
