Unable to "use printer offline" using WinXP SP2 client

Hello,
I am using samba 3.0.14a as a standalone file and printserver with
CUPS 1.1.23. The printer driver (HP Deskjet 895Cxi) was installed on
the server using the WinXP SP2 add printer wizard. I can print, delete
single and all printjobs, pause and resume the printer from the WinXP
SP2 client.
The problem is that I can't "use the printer offline" feature. WinXP
complains about not successful command and the printer reports it is
not reacheable anymore. After a refresh everything is OK though.
Here is the log:
[2006/10/05 23:25:18, 0] rpc_parse/parse_spoolss.c:spoolss_io_devmode(706)
spoolss_io_devmode: Unknown specversion in devicemode [0x35]

[2006/10/05 23:25:18, 0] rpc_parse/parse_prs.c:prs_mem_get(537)
prs_mem_get: reading data of size 64 would overrun buffer.
[2006/10/05 23:25:18, 0] rpc_server/srv_spoolss.c:api_spoolss_setprinter(605)
spoolss_io_q_setprinter: unable to unmarshall SPOOL_Q_SETPRINTER.
[2006/10/05 23:25:18, 0] rpc_server/srv_pipe.c:api_rpcTNP(1560)
api_rpcTNP: spoolss: SPOOLSS_SETPRINTER failed.
Any suggestions how to ignore that feature or to get it working with samba?
I have prepared a full log (level 10), which is to big to include
here, but is available on request.
Thank you,
Alexander Pohl
