Samba File Sharing on Embedded System

Hello,
I am trying to implement a limited file share on a embedded for a network. I can get the system on the network but don't know how to share files(Show up in the network neighborhood). Memory is limited on the device so I can't put all of Samba on it. I just need enough code to make our system look like a file share. Does anybody have any ideas about how I can do this.
