Oops, sorry, I was unaware of that.
With this being the case, wouldn't it make sense to include a pointer to 
their repository in the Samba tree?  This could easily be achieved by 
syncing their version of README.building (patch attached).

Found them, thanks Jelmer.  The SVN repository seems not to be linked to 
from the alioth gforge page though, I found it by way of the SVN switch 
announcement[1].
