libtdb.h and libtdb.c

I have a series of items I am hoping to get into the upcoming 3.0.23
release.

 

First up:

 

I wrote some wrappers similar to tdbutil.h/tdbutil.c.  The reason I
wrote my own: tdbutil.h is GPL'd and I needed an LGPL header.

 

I specifically use this shared object library to populate the
secrets.tdb file and to keep the machine password in sync (Centrify CDC
and Samba share the Computer account when joined to an Active Directory
domain). 

 

Libtdb.h goes in source/include and libtdb.c goes in source/tdb.

 

Let me know if you want it differently.  

 

If you don't think it is generic enough to warrant inclusion in main
stream Samba that's okay.

 

We build our own samba and we can just keep adding this as a patch.
