SAMBA CIFS PROXY

Dirk,

This is an area of keen interest, of course.  There are several commercial
options in this space including Riverbed, Peribit, Orbital, and more.

If you are interested in seeing what Samba can do here, I would suggest
starting with the Samba4 proxy code.  If you are interested in going
further with the idea, let us know.
