Here's another issue:

Linking nsswitch/libnss_winbind.so
ld: warning: option -o appears more than once, first setting taken

nsswitch/libnss_winbind.so: $(WINBIND_NSS_PICOBJS)
    @echo "Linking $@"
    @$(SHLD) $(WINBIND_NSS_LDSHFLAGS) -o $@ $(WINBIND_NSS_PICOBJS) \
        -lsocket -Wl,-soname=`basename $@`.1

This is caused by gnu ld syntax being used although Sun's
/usr/ccs/bin/ld is actually the linker. This is with CC=gcc

This has already been fixed for the final release.
The fix is to change :
s/$(PAM_WINBIND_PICOBJ)/$(PAM_WINBIND_OBJ:.o=. at PICSUFFIX@)/
in Makefile.in.
