As far as I understand there are various roles supported here.
MEMBER_SERVER, PDC, BDC etc.
I believe we should support at least the Member Server role. Windows
member servers do
support it.

This really6 shouldn't be supported in smbd since it is a directory
services call. I can't imagine this ever worked since I coded up the
original client code. I'd be concerned that if we support the server
case, clients will expect we are AD.
