Bug 3024 in 3.0.22

Hi,

I know there are probably pending patches which are more important. But could 
you take a look at https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3024? IMHO it's 
simple enough to include in 3.0.22-pre1 so you can throw it out in pre2 if it 
really creates problems for somebody (which is *very* improbable, it really 
solves the problem for me and the logic change is straightforward).
