James, > That's gcc masquerading as cc ... ahh, there was a /usr/local/bin/cc symlink to gcc on that system. I've removed it. If you can organise a upgrade to MIPSPro 7.4 on us4 that would be good. The irix compiler gives a useful set of warnings, and I hadn't realised we weren't getting them at the moment. Cheers, Tridge
