Jeremy, I finally got access to a Solaris 10 machine with compilers.
The manpages now includes other stuff besides NIS, like NIS+ and LDAP,
but not localfiles :-/
Anyway as a quick test I created a simple program that just calls
innetgr("xxx", NULL, NULL, NULL);
If no NIS/NIS+/LDAP is configured this function simply returns 0, and no
crash happens, so I think it is safe to just use it even when no NIS
domains are configured.
What do you think?
Simo.
