Dear SAMBA Team,
I am writing to you for a support request - I don't know what your policy on
this is, so please feel free to ignore this message if you wish.

I have quite a technical problem, and I wouldn't be bothering you all
normally, but no one has been able to help me out. I am trying to use CUPS to
print, via the network to a printer which is on a Windows Machine. The
Address of the printer that I have put into CUPS is:

smb://ANDONET/guest@NI/HPPSC1600

When I try to print to this machine, II get the following error:

E [19/Sep/2005:23:24:16 +0200] [Job 38] No ticket cache found for userid=0
E [19/Sep/2005:23:24:16 +0200] [Job 38] Can not get the ticket cache for root
E [19/Sep/2005:23:24:16 +0200] [Job 38] Tree connect failed
E [19/Sep/2005:23:24:16 +0200] [Job 38] Unable to connect to SAMBA host, will
retry in 60 seconds...foomatic-rip version $Revision: 3.48 $ running...

I am wondering if the ticket cache has anything to do with SAMBA... because I
am having trouble understaing where it originates from. I have a SuSE machine
set up with YaST that shares with this printer without problems.

Basically my question is this: Does the "ticket cache" problem have anything
to do with SAMBA?
Can you help me anyway?

I am running Slackware 10.2

Thanks in advance for any help,
Yours faithfully,
Edward Ando
