Custom fcntl call in Win32?

Hi!

In a customer application I would like to pass arbitrary meta-data for
directories and files from a Win32 program to smbd and back. I thought that an
ioctl command would be the right thing to do, but I could not find any Win32
function that issues an ioctl command that might pop up at the server.

Did Microsoft not implement this? But where are the existing ioctl calls we
have to answer coming from then?

Thanks,

Volker
