.mac file not getting created

Dear All,

 

Please let me know if the "<domainname>.<hostname>.mac" file creation in
private folder concept has been removed from 3.0.14b onwards, coz I don't
see it getting created at all.

I use the "net rpc join "command to join the NT4.0 domain and the samba
server connects without errors.

 

Kindly HELP!!!!! I am not finding any information for this on the net as all
the requests for this query were not answered with a solution.
