object model and Samba management

Can anyone think of a reasonable way (or  link to windows ) to get an
"object view" of the Window cifs world (ie a view of the relationships
between shares, users, machines, printers, domains groups, server objects,
workstation object, etc)?   In some sense this is what happens in the MMC
plugins when they expose different manageable objects ... but we in the
Samba world tend to think of the list of functions (and the corresponding
idl) rather than the managed objects - presumably Windows programmers think
of it through the objects which these functions operate on.
