I've commited modified code as you can see in checkin logs. I've
decided (after tridge's suggestions, I might add) to resign of two
different levels of the call because it doesn't seem necessary.

We certainly need torture tests for those functions to prove they
work (right now they only compile). Another thing is conversion
to async composite interface.
