Volker has initial work on this by defining a new
rpc pipe. I'm interested in resolving this issue
before the next stable Samba release. Would a
user space help that queried winbindd be a good
enough solution for you? This would allow us to
leverage the same solution for domain member servers
without any additional unix information services.
