Come on John.  Stay with me here.  Don't fall asleep yet.
SAMBA_3_0 is a developer branch.  It's just the stable
developer branch.  If user's download it, they had better
be prepared to deal with the dirty laundry.  We will
use every legitimate development tool at our disposal
for better code.

The consumer branch (SAMBA_3_0_RELEASE) is a little more
polished.
