  Sun, HP/UX, SGI Irix, AIX, BSD, etc, etc, all have this (really 
rather old!) restriction. 
  If my memory serves, the upper limit in POSIX is 32, which
is supported by at least SUN and AIX.  Personally I prefer
0, 1 or many for any limits (:-))
