Tim,

This doesn't seem to be supported by gcc 3.3.  So configure fails....

SAMBA VERSION: 3.0.12pre2-SVN-build-5616
BUILD REVISION: 5616
checking for gcc... gcc
checking for C compiler default output file name... configure: error: C
compiler cannot create executables


Got any suggestions on how to check on pre gcc 3.4 boxes ?
