Chris,

The first place to start I think is to figure out how libsmbclient
and libmsrpc will work together. Obviously, we'll need libsmbclient
for the initial connection and named pipe support. What is the
division between these two libs?

Then let's start looking at the Makefile. This is going to the
worst part of it I'm afraid. Pick one of the files from rpc_client/*.c
and see what is the minimal set of dependent files for compilation.
I would probably start by commenting out '#include "includes.h"'
since that pulls in just about everything.

Once you figure out how to minimally compile one rpc client file,
then we'll have the framework to start building the shared library.

Sounds ok ? Think you could have some feedback on this by Monday ?

cheers, jerry
