Metze,

This is actually different in that it is more along the lines
of administrative logs and nto real time  monitoring information.
The Samba daemons would log audited events and then a
backend parser external to Samba could fill in the hooks to
export the data in an eventlog format.

The justfication for this is that Samba's debug logs are great
for developers but not great for admins ro security folks.
And it is not really maintainable to server both crowds from the
same logging system.
